FULL DAY WING FOILING COURSE

Location: Woollahra Sailing Club, Rose Bay

The perfect fast track training program for beginners who are looking to get into the sport of Wing Foiling.

The Full Day Course covers all aspects and basics of an Entry Level Wing Foil Course. By the end of the full day course, you'll have a great foundation in wingfoiling and the skills to continue exploring this incredible sport on your own. The Full Day Course is split into two modules and can be booked separately as two Half Day Courses. 
MOUDULESModule 1: Learning how to Hydrofoil (fly a hydrofoil above the water) andModule 2 Learning how to fly & control a Wind Wing & Wingfoil Board control
We usually run our Full Day Courses on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. At completion of the Full Day Course we recommend to join our In Depth Foil Progression Clinic (2h) till you are ready for our regular Social Wingfoil Training group classes. 
CHOOSE BETWEEN:● Full Day Course Wingfoiling (6h): $525 (Module 1 & 2)● Half Day Learn how to Fly a Wind Wing (3h): $330 (Module 2)**suitable for those who successfully completed the LEARN TO FOIL MASTER CLASS or you are understand how a hydrofoil works.
Our proven step by step teaching method gives students a fast track start into hydrofoiling. All classes start at our school facility & hydrofoil shop based at the Woollahra Sailing Club. During autumn and winter we recommend to bring a wetsuit. Our school and instructors are licensed and insured by Australian Sailing and Kiteboarding Australia.

After lunch session (3h)● Theory, technique & dynamics of flying a wing● Basic handling of a wind wing on the beach● Wind wing handling, sailing directions● Manoeuvres: jibe 
You will be learning on the latest and most advanced foiling technology by leading brands as North, Armstrong. 
Other informationAll wingfoil equipment, power boat and instructions are included. Please bring a wetsuit (*). All vouchers are valid for 6 months.Group size: 2-4
Who's it for: Students who are learning to Wingfoiling or building their skills for Wingfoiling. This class is also suitable to students who already completed the 2-3h Beginner Tow Foiling Class

FAQ

  • What are the requirements to learn Wingfoiling?

    No prior experience is necessary, but students should be comfortable in the water and able to swim. Minimum age requirements vary, but generally, students should be at least 8 years old. Flying a Wind Wing and controlling a Wingfoil board will feel familiar for Students with Windsurfing experience. Students with Wakeboarding background usually find the towing classes easier ;)

  • What equipment is provided?

    Our school provides top-quality wingfoiling gear, including boards, wind wings, foils, communication devices and safety equipment. Wetsuits can be hired for $10 or students can purchase a wetsuit at our shop at discounted rates. 

  • What should I bring to class?

    Bring your biggest smile, a wetsuit, sunscreen, towel, a jacket for the boat and a water bottle. Our facility has hot showers in the change rooms.

  • How long are lessons?

    Private and Group Lessons typically last 2-3 hours; A full day course runs for 3+3 hours plus a lunch break in between. A Half Day course is running for 3h.

  • Can I rent equipment after completing lessons?

    Yes, we offer rental options for students who want to continue practicing outside of lessons. Dependent on the equipment, rental rates vary between $75 - $185 per session (2-3h). Our SOCIAL WINGFOIL GROUP TRAINING CLASSES are a great & economical way to continuo training in a supervised and structured and safe environment. 

  • What's the student-to-instructor ratio?

    We maintain a low ratio to ensure personalised attention and safety. Private lessons are one on one. Group lessons have a maximum number of 4 students per instructor. To progress with a friend a shared private class ($235pp) might be a good option to consider.
