At Hydrofoil Academy & Shop Australia, we want you to feel confident purchasing hydrofoil equipment and watersports gear from our store. If something isn’t right with your order, we’re here to help.

This policy explains how returns, refunds, and exchanges work for orders delivered within Australia and internationally.

Eligibility for Returns

Items may be returned if they meet the following conditions:

  • The item is new and unused

  • The item is returned within 30 days of delivery

  • Original packaging, tags, and accessories are included

Returns are also accepted for items that are:

  • Faulty

  • Damaged during delivery

  • Incorrect items sent

These situations are covered under Australian Consumer Law.

Items Not Eligible for Return

The following items cannot be returned unless they are faulty:

  • Used, worn, or damaged items

  • Washed equipment or clothing

  • Opened hygiene items (for example earplugs, liners, or mouthguards)

  • Gift cards

  • Custom-made or special-order products

  • Items marked Final Sale

How to Start a Return (Australia)

To begin a return:

  1. Email hello@hydrofoilacademy.com with:

    • Your order number

    • The item(s) you want to return

    • The reason for the return

  2. Our team will issue a Return Authorisation (RMA) and provide:

    • A prepaid return label (AU$9.95) for change-of-mind returns

    • A free return label for faulty or incorrect items

  3. Pack the item securely and lodge the parcel with Australia Post.

Please keep your tracking receipt until the return has been processed.

International Returns

Customers outside Australia may return items by mail.

To arrange an international return:

  1. Email hello@hydrofoilacademy.com

  2. Provide:

    • Order number

    • Item(s) to return

    • Reason for return

    • Country of return

We will send the return address and instructions.

Please note:

  • Return postage is the customer’s responsibility

  • Reasonable postage costs will be reimbursed for faulty or incorrect items

  • Custom duties, taxes, and original shipping costs are non-refundable unless required by local law

Refunds & Exchanges

Once your returned item is received and inspected:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

  • Processing usually takes 3–5 business days

Please note:

  • Original shipping costs are not refundable unless the item is faulty or we made an error.

  • If you need a different size or model, please place a new order.
    Your original order will be refunded once the returned item is received.

Warranties & Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for major failures

  • A repair, replacement, or refund for minor failures

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
